5) Bedtime (2005).Dit komt van een oud gedichtje dat mijn moeder had geschreven als een lieve persoonlijke herinnering. Ik vond het altijd al heel mooi en wilde er graag een liedje van maken. Dit was het resultaat.

She always told me a little story
Before I went to bed
A story that she knew of
That had grown inside her head
It was always a pretty little tale
That had all these different angles
And while she was telling…it
Almost sounded like she was singing

Don’t ask for any character
As, not one comes to mind
But I would hold my breath
While she was stroking my head
And looked me in the eyes
Waiting for the next surprise

She always told me a little story
Before I went to bed
A story that she knew of
That had grown inside her head
It was always a pretty little tale
That had all these different angles
And while she was telling it
Almost sounded like she was singing

Her smooth sounding voice
Spinning around another tale
I went inside the story, into it deep
Her voice so warm, then I fell asleep
And I loved her so much
I had no choice
But to listen as:
She always told me a little story...
